    Resolution:

    1.  Check the following:

    • Check the inlet hose 'O' ring seal for signs of damage or if this is missing.
    • Check if the pipe connection is screwed on and tightened properly (tighten by hand only). Check if the leak is coming from the tap itself.
    • Check the water supply connection to the inlet hose of the machine.

NoteFault due to installation is not under warranty and you may be charged for a service visit by an engineer, even during the warranty period.

WarningDo not use pliers or any other similar tool to tighten the pipe connection. It should be tightened only by hand!

    Resolution:

If the washing machine draws in water even though it is switched off, it may be caused by dirt in the water valve.

In many cases, it can be repaired by starting a quick-wash cycle and rinsing water through the valve. If the problem persists, we recommend contacting Electrolux Service Center for service support.

To help you determine the exact nature of the problem, we recommend a visit by one of our service engineers to check the appliance and fix the problem.

  • My washing machine displays error code E20, not draining
    Issue:
    • Washing machine displays error message E20, E21 or C2, emits 2 beeps or 2 flashes.
    • Washing machine does not drain
    • The drum does not turn
    • The appliance makes an unusual noise because of the blockage of the drain pump
    Applies to:
    • Front loader washing machine (integrated and freestanding)
    • Top loader washing machine
    • Washer dryer
    Applies to model numbers:

    EWW1042AEWA, EWW8023AEWA, EWW1141AEWA, EWW7024FDWA, EWF7525EQWA, EWF8025CQWA, EWF1141SEWA, EWF9023BDWA, EWF1141AEWA, EWF1042BDWA, EWF9025BQWA, EWF8025DGWA, EW6T4722AF, EWT1066EWW

    Resolution:

    1.  Ensure the drain hose is in the correct position

The drain hose should extend no more than 10 cm down into the drain.

For installation instructions of your appliance, please refer to your appliance user manual.

    2.  Ensure correct drain height.

The height of the drain must be no more than 100 cm and no less than 60 cm above the base of the machine or as shown in the user manual.

Refer to the installation instructions in your user manual or separate installation leaflet supplied with your appliance.

    3. Clean the pump and filter.

Clean the pump and fluff filter, including the pump blade (if the pump blade is visible, rotate it with a pencil and refit the filter). Then start a hot wash without adding any soap powder to clean out the drainage system.

For detailed procedure refer to the user manual supplied with your appliance.

    4. Check for a blocked drain.

Check the hose connected to the sink trap, and check if the sink is draining normally to rule out the blockage. Check whether the drains are draining satisfactorily. Try a wash with the drain hose in a bowl or sink.

if the washing machine is working correctly after the test wash, it may indicate that the siphon/outlet is clogged - make sure the siphon/outlet is clear

    5. If the drain hose has been extended as shown in the above installation diagram, check the place where the hoses are connected (due to the reduced flow diameter, it is more likely to be blocked)

    6. Check the drainage hose for possible kink or twist.

Kink or twist in the drain hose may prevent the water from flowing through the hose. You can check it behind the machine.

    7. Use less soap powder.

When a lot of soap powder is used or a lot of foam is produced, the level system can get blocked by foam.

You can fix this by switching off the machine and shaking the drum forwards and backwards several times. Clean the drain pump/filter and then run a hot wash without any soap powder.

    8. Switch off the power to the washing machine.

The problem may be solved by switching off the power to the washing machine for about 1-2 hours and then starting a wash cycle again.

If the pump has been blocked, a bimetal fuse will switch off the pump. When the pump has cooled down, it should work normally.

    9. Contact Electrolux Service Center.

If the above suggestions did not solve the problem, we recommend requesting a visit by a service engineer.

Make a note of the reported error code and quote it when you request an engineer. This will not solve your problem, but it will help our engineer identify the cause of the problem.

WarningWe do not recommend using the appliance until the problem has been completely fixed. Unplug the appliance and do not plug it in again until you are certain that it is OK to do so.

    Issue:

The door of the washing machine cannot be opened

    Applies to:
    • Free standing machines
    • Built in machines
    Applies to model numbers:

    EWW1042AEWA, EWW8023AEWA, EWW1141AEWA, EWW7024FDWA, EWF7525EQWA, EWF8025CQWA, EWF1141SEWA, EWF9023BDWA, EWF1141AEWA, EWF1042BDWA, EWF9025BQWA, EWF8025DGWA

    Resolution:

    1. Too short a time since the end of the

The door can be opened about 5 minutes after the end of the washing cycle (after the bi-metal in the door lock has cooled down). This is normal.

    2. Make sure the door lock icon is not

On some models, if there is a problem with opening the door and the display is off, turn on the washing machine and make sure the door lock icon is not active.

    3. Check if there is water in the

If there is water in the machine, the door cannot be opened. If you want to open the door, you can do it after the water has been pumped out. If necessary, you can perform an emergency drain operation on the machine.

    Follow the instructions below:

    • open the fluff filter and let the water drain out from the front into a tray or down a floor drain (on some machines you do this by opening a spout on the fluff filter and loosening the filter carefully or, on machines without a fluff filter, you loosen the drainage hose at the back of the machine and then lay it along the floor so that the water can be channeled off via the drainage hose)
    • check if the drains are fine
    • clean the fluff filter
    • run a wash again to see whether this has resolved the problem.

For more information refer to the user manual supplied with your appliance.

    4. Perform emergency door opening.

On some machines, the door can be opened in an emergency by pulling down on a bar using a screwdriver or similar object, for example. If the machine has an emergency release, it is located next to the fluff filter. See the full description in the user manual.

NoteMake sure that the water level inside the drum is not too high. If necessary, proceed with an emergency drain.

WarningRisk of burns! Make sure that the water temperature is not too high and the laundry is not hot. If necessary, wait until they cool down.

WarningRisk of injury! Make sure that the drum is not rotating. If necessary, wait until the drum stops rotating.

    5.  Reset the machine.

Switch off the mains plug socket and then switch it on again after about 20-30 seconds. Then test whether the machine is working normally.

    6. Contact Electrolux Service Centre for further support needed

If the above does not resolve the problem, we recommend requesting a visit by our service engineer.

    Resolution:

EF0 or EF3 warning message on the display can have several causes.

If you identify one of the below points as the cause of the warning, the message disappears automatically at the end of the program or when the next program is restarted

    1.  Using too much detergent may cause excessive foaming

When a lot of soap powder is used or a lot of foam is produced, the level system can get blocked by foam. You can fix this by switching off the machine and shaking the drum forwards and backwards several times. Clean the drain pump/filter and then run a hot wash without any soap powder.

    2.  Clean the dispenser drawer

If the dispenser drawer or the sprinkler plate over the drawer is very dirty or covered in limescale, the water may flow out and cause the problem.

Clean the dispenser drawer in accordance with the user manual and try the appliance again. For more information, please refer to User Manual.

    3.  Check for laundry caught in the machine.

Clothing caught between the door seal and the glass can cause the door leak and allow water to run down the front and down into the bottom tray.

    • Disconnect the appliance from the water and power supplies and then place a towel behind the washing machine on the floor.
    • Tilt the appliance backwards a little, so that there is around 10–15 cm between the floor and the kickboard on the front.
    • Hold the appliance in position for about 30–40 seconds to allow the water in the bottom tray flow out onto the towel.
    • Lower the appliance to the floor and reconnect it.
    • Check the water supply and drainage.
    • Check if the filters in the inlet hose and water valve are clean (where the inlet hose is screwed onto the appliance and at the water tap).
    • Start a wash cycle and see whether the problem has been resolved.
  • Washing machine pumps continuously – no error message is displayed
    Issue:
    • Washing machine pumps continuously – no error message is displayed
    Applies to:
    • Washing machine
    Applies to model numbers:

    EWW1042AEWA, EWW8023AEWA, EWW1141AEWA, EWW7024FDWA, EWF7525EQWA, EWF8025CQWA, EWF1141SEWA, EWF9023BDWA, EWF1141AEWA, EWF1042BDWA, EWF9025BQWA, EWF8025DGWA, EW6T4722AF, EWT1066EWW

    Resolution:

    1. On newly installed washing machines, when you use it for the first time, the machine may start to pump water continuously.

This problem can be solved by resetting the appliance.

To reset it, switch off the power supply and switch it back on again after about a minute.

    2.  On washing machines with Aqua Control, the float at the bottom of the washing machine can jump out of position during transport/rough handling, if a trolley hits the bottom tray on the machine or if the machine jumps violently during a spin cycle because of incorrectly adjusted feet.

    • It sometimes can be resolved by tipping the washing machine forwards and backwards and to the sides, so that the float falls back into its position.
    • Adjustment of the feet can be checked by using a spirit level (see the user manual).

    3.  The problem can also be caused by a clogged fluff filter.

Check and clean the fluff filter in accordance with the instructions in the user manual.

    4.  If the above suggestion does not resolve the issue, please contact Electrolux Service Center.

To help you determine the exact nature of the problem, we recommend a visit by one of our authorized engineers to check the appliance and fix the problem.

  • My washer dryer displays error message E10, C1 or emits 1 beep / 1 flash
    Issue:
    • Washer dryer displays error message E10, C1 or emits 1 beep / 1 flash. It indicates a problem with not taking in water, not taken in enough water or problems with the drain.
    Applies to:
    • Washer dryer(integrated and freestanding)
    Applies to model numbers:

    EWW1042AEWA, EWW8023AEWA, EWW1141AEWA, EWW7024FDWA, EWF7525EQWA, EWF8025CQWA, EWF1141SEWA, EWF9023BDWA, EWF1141AEWA, EWF1042BDWA, EWF9025BQWA, EWF8025DGWA

    Resolution:

    1.  Check the water supply to ensure that the water pressure is proper

    • The operating water pressure at the water entry point from the outlet connection must be between 0.5 bar (0.05 MPa) and 8 bar (0.8 MPa)
    • Turn off the tap and remove the inlet hose. Place a bucket or other similar container under the tap. Turn on the tap and check that enough water comes out of it.
    • You should be able to fill a 10-litre bucket in about a minute.

    2.  Clean the filter in the inlet hose next to the tap.

If there is a filter in the water valve where the inlet hose screws into the washing machine, it should be also clean.

    3.  Ensure correct position of the drain hose.

The drain hose should extend no more than 10 cm down into the drain.

Refer to the installation instructions in your user manual.

    4.  Ensure correct drain height.

The height of the drain must be no more than 100 cm and no less than 60 cm above the base of the machine or as shown in the user manual.

Refer to the installation instructions in your user manual.

    6. Check for blocked drain.

Check whether the drains are draining satisfactorily. Try a wash with the drain hose in a bowl or sink.

    7. Check the drainage hose/inlet hose for possible kink or twist.

Kink or twist in the drain or inlet hose may prevent the water from flowing through the hose. You can check it behind the machine

    8. Use less soap powder.

When a lot of soap powder is used or a lot of foam is produced, the level system can get blocked by foam.

You can fix this by switching off the machine and shaking the drum forwards and backwards several times. Clean the drain pump/filter and then run a hot wash without any soap powder.

    9. Reset the appliance.

Remove the plug from the socket, wait 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

If the above steps do not resolve the issues, please contact your local Electrolux Service Centre for further support.
